The planning process
The center of my life is in South Germany, in Tübingen and Konstanz. However, I work flexibly, super regionally and I am happy to come to you, even if it is in the far north. Every project is unique. In order to get a unique feeling for the location and its owner, the planning process starts with an initial inspection of the site and a personal meeting with the owner. Inspired by the first meeting, the first ideas emerge, which I like to put on paper.
You can scribble anywhere, spontaneously in a cafe or on the train, but also at your desk in the office. Sketches are very important for my design process. This is where the first ideas are captured. They are reduced to the most important things and are therefore very expressive. Lines and hatches shape the space and create first impression of the place.
The first on-site appointment is usually charged at as an all-inclusive rate based on the consulting time on site. After the first consultation appointment – when I probably already have a lot of ideas in my head – I will make you an individual offer depending on the scope of the project and the situation. The work of a landscape architect is defined and invoiced according to the work phases of the HOAI, the fee structure for architects and engineers. These are divided into 9 areas, which can be individually commissioned.
Work phases in landscape architecture
- basic determination – stock tacking, site analysis
- preliminary planning – cost estimate
- design planning and calculation of costs
- approval plan
- implementation plan
- Preparation of the award – including determination of quantities + preparation of specifications of prices (LV)
- Participation in the award of contract including cost estimate
- Object supervision – Construction supervision and documentation
- Site supervision
As a landscape architect, I act independently as a link between the client and the executing gardening company. I will gladly accompany you from the first step to the completion of your garden world. If you are interested, I will be happy to explain the individual phases of work in detail. In principle it is helpful if you provide me with your existing documents concerning the property and building, such as the development plan, site plan or elevation plan.
It is important to me that your dream can be realized. For me the main focus is to inspire you and to make the seemingly impossible come true for you, regardless of the budget. There is always a path.
